Why Our Team Is Sleeping Out This February (Guaranteed Rent, Real Impact)

On 6 February 2026, members of the Apex team will be taking part in Centrepoint’s London Sleep Out. We’ll be giving up our beds for the night and sleeping outside at Somerset House to raise awareness and funds for the thousands of young people who face it every day.

Right now, over 118,000 young people in the UK are experiencing homelessness. That number should stop anyone in their tracks.

At Apex, we work in the social housing sector every day. We place people in emergency accommodation. We speak to councils trying to house families in crisis. We see the reality behind the numbers. And we believe that if you’re in a position to help, you should.

Guaranteed Rent, But A Bigger Purpose Too

Yes, we’re a guaranteed rent provider. We work with private landlords, we sign long-term agreements, and we ensure stable income, even when properties are used for temporary or emergency accommodation. If you’re a landlord who wants to rent your property to the council, we’re often the link that makes that possible.

But the bigger picture is this: guaranteed rent isn’t just about income security - it’s about helping deliver safe, secure homes. And that’s what this event is really about.

Why Centrepoint?

Centrepoint is the UK’s leading youth homelessness charity. They support over 16,000 16–25 year olds every year through housing, jobs, and mental health support. Their goal is simple: end youth homelessness by 2037.

Their work aligns with ours. We may be on different sides of the housing sector, but the outcome is the same - get people into safe homes, and help them stay there.
