From Admin to Property Management: A Happy Accident
Priscilla’s entry into property management wasn’t exactly by design. In fact, she describes it as an “accident” that turned into a rewarding career. “I had just had a baby and was looking for a job in admin, something easy to balance with my new life,” Priscilla explains. “I started temping for Ballymore, and three years later, I found myself as a Team Leader running their central Helpdesk for 12 developments. That’s when I really got hooked on property management.”
What started as a temporary administrative role soon sparked Priscilla’s passion for creating better living environments for people. She felt a strong calling to improve the conditions and experiences of residents, believing everyone deserves a place they’re happy to call home. “It just clicked for me,” she says. “I wanted to have a bigger impact on people’s lives by improving their living spaces.”

Priscilla’s journey with Apex began after she was drawn in by the company’s culture and values. “I was initially attracted to the staff at Apex,” she says. “During my interview, I was made to feel so welcome by the team, even though I wasn’t officially part of it yet. It’s clear that the people here care about each other and work well together.”
But what truly sold Priscilla on Apex was the company’s ability to balance the needs of both tenants and landlords. “It’s a real skill to find that middle ground where everyone’s needs are met, and Apex does that really well. I admire how the team puts both the tenants and the landlords first.”
A Thorough, Moral, and Energetic Approach
As a Property Manager, Priscilla brings a thoughtful and energized approach to her work. “I would describe my style as thorough, moral, and energetic,” she shares. She believes that property management is about more than just maintaining buildings; it’s about improving people’s lives. “It’s incredibly rewarding to change people’s perceptions and experiences of property management. I want residents to feel that they can rely on us and trust us to create a space they can truly enjoy.”
A Mentor’s Influence: Lessons Learned Along the Way
Looking back on her career, Priscilla remembers one pivotal experience that shaped her approach to property management. “In my first job in the industry, I was lucky to find a mentor in our Financial Director. He was patient and kind, and he taught me so much—how to set goals, how to work hard, and how to be assertive in a gentle way.” Though her mentor has since passed, Priscilla feels deeply grateful for the guidance he provided. “I hope he knows his time coaching me wasn’t wasted. I carry those lessons with me every day.”
Outside of Work: A Passion for Podcasting and Motherhood
When she’s not managing properties, Priscilla is equally passionate about her personal life, particularly the joys and challenges of being a mother. “I enjoy sharing my experiences as a mum,” she says. “It helps me stay grounded and focused.” Priscilla is a regular panelist on a podcast aired by Netmums, where she discusses the day-to-day realities of motherhood. It’s a fitting hobby for someone who enjoys balancing the demands of both work and home life with a sense of humor.
A Fun Fact: The Drag Queen Who Took Pride in Performing
Here’s a fun fact you might not expect from Priscilla: She used to be a drag queen! “I was a woman pretending to be a man, who then dressed up as a woman,” she laughs. “I toured for years and even performed at PRIDE events!” It’s a testament to Priscilla’s lively personality and sense of fun, qualities that shine through in everything she does.
Dinner with Whitney?
If Priscilla could have dinner with any historical or famous figure, her choice is clear: Whitney Houston. “Is Whitney Houston historical?” she jokes. “Regardless, I’d pick her. She was an amazing soul, full of talent, passion, and laughter. I’d love to sit down and have a conversation with her.”
